Caring for someone with Alzheimer’s and Dementia requires strength, compassion, patience and selfless love. My father was diagnosed with Early Onset Alzheimer’s close to 10 years ago. I have learned a lot about the disease through my fathers eyes and also understand that every patients experience with the disease is different. These learnings have driven me to get more involved... Welcome to my page.
The benefit of laughter and a smile are far greater and long lasting than what happens in the moment. Dementia and Alzheimer's are cognitive impairments that are constantly stealing from both the patient and their caregiver.
The name of this site is intended to serve as a reminder that we should never forget to laugh - regardless of what we are dealing with. Keep your sense of humor and your ability to find humor and GRATITUDE in even the worst of circomstances.
